Three counties, twenty years

I'm Nathan, a software engineer who's spent his whole career building websites and systems for businesses in the places I've lived.

The story

I've lived in three counties in my life: Gloucestershire, Wiltshire and Hampshire. They're not a "service area" picked off a map. They're where I grew up, learnt my trade and settled down. Each one shaped a chapter of a twenty-year career:

  • Gloucestershire is where it started. At a Cheltenham agency I worked on over 60 websites, learning the craft of building sites for real local businesses.
  • Wiltshire is where I became a lead developer: six years running development at a Royal Wootton Bassett agency across more than 100 sites, plus a year of DevOps for a Swindon travel company.
  • Hampshire is home now. For the past five years I've been the in-house developer for a Hampshire business, building everything from a large e-commerce platform to the logistics tools behind its daily deliveries.

How I work

I believe the simplest solution that works is almost always the best one. I build with modern AI-assisted development, backed by twenty years of engineering discipline: version control, security-aware design, proper testing. That combination is why I can deliver agency-quality work in weeks at honest prices, without leaving you with a fragile site nobody can maintain.

You deal with me directly, start to finish. No account managers, no offshore hand-offs, no jargon. Just someone local who picks up the phone.
