Web design in Wiltshire

Six years as lead developer at a Royal Wootton Bassett agency, across 100+ local sites. If your business is in Wiltshire, your web developer is local: someone you can sit across a table from, not a voice in a distant call centre.

Covering Swindon, Royal Wootton Bassett, Marlborough, Chippenham and Salisbury

I redesign websites for small and medium businesses across Wiltshire: trades, shops, professional services, farms and food producers, and everything in between. If your site looks dated or has stopped bringing in work, you get a fresh rebuild at an honest set price from someone with 20 years of experience. Afterwards, host it with me or with anyone you like.

Being local matters for practical reasons: we can meet face to face to scope the work, my reputation lives where you trade, and when you ring, it's me who answers.

The state of business websites in Wiltshire

36,527 active limited companies in Wiltshire
~5,800 we could find a website for
2,170 show their company details online

Wiltshire is home to 36,527 active limited companies. When I went looking for their websites across Companies House records and my own crawl of UK business sites, I could find one for only around 5,800 of them. Of those, just 2,170 clearly show the company's own registered details on the site.

Put another way: roughly 84% of Wiltshire businesses have no website I could find, and most of the ones that do aren't presenting themselves as the established, legitimate company they are. Customers can't find them, and the ones who do aren't reassured. That's the gap I close: a fast, professional site that shows your business properly and turns visitors into enquiries, all at a set price agreed upfront.

Figures: active limited companies with a registered office in Wiltshire, matched against Companies House open data and our own crawl of UK business websites (July 2026). “Website found” counts sites I could confidently match to the company, so the true figure is a little higher; “company details” means the registered company number was visible on the pages crawled.
