Questions people ask before a redesign
Will I lose my Google rankings?
No. Protecting them is part of the job. Your pages keep their addresses where possible, and anything that moves gets a proper redirect, so the standing your old site earned carries over to the new one.
How long does it take?
Most redesigns go live within a few weeks of the scoping consultation. You'll get an honest timescale in your written scope, and because the price is fixed, delays cost me, not you.
Do I actually own the new site?
Yes, all of it. Every redesign I build is yours outright: domain, code, content and images, handed over documented so another developer can pick it up. If we part ways, you take everything with you; nothing is held hostage.
My hosting is with someone else. Is that a problem?
Not at all. I'll help get the new site live on your existing provider, working with whoever manages it, or you can move to my hosting if you prefer. Where it lives is your choice.
I don't have a website yet. Can you still help?
Yes, and starting from scratch is the easy case. New builds begin with a requirements-gathering session (£250 one-off) covering your pages, content, look and goals, and after that the process and prices are the same as a redesign. Is SEO included, or an extra?
Built in, never an extra. Most of what makes a site rank well is decided when it's built: structure, speed, page titles, structured data and redirects that protect your existing rankings. All of that is standard in every job, not a £500 add-on.
